Description
Fostex PM0.4 - Used but sound so GOOD!!! The PM0.4s measure 114mm by 220mm and are 190mm deep and weigh slightly under 4kgs. Their frequency response is quoted to be between 60 and 30kHz, with -10dB cut-off points at 60Hz and 22kHz. The speakers have a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms, whilst input impedance is said to be 54kOhms. The drivers are powered by a two individual amplifiers capable of delivering 18W (RMS) into the woofer and tweeter, with less than 0.1% total harmonic distortion at 12W. The cabinets have two bass-reflex ports on the front, which itself is finished in glossy black lacquer, whilst the cabinets are seemingly made of MDF. The rear facilitates a heat sink, input attenuator knob and a 1/4" jack accepting balanced and unbalanced inputs, a RCA unbalanced input and a fixed mains lead. The woofer is said to be made from 'aromatic polyamide' and measures four inch in diameter, whilst the soft-dome tweeter's size is 0.6 inch in size. Due to its compact size, the PM0.4s are probably a good choice for compact bedroom studios, but larger facilities will probably want to look at the little Fostex' bigger brothers.
