we built these here at the shop, with the intent to keep them, but I simply don't need a 48TH pair of speakers.. OK- here's the scoop- The enclosures were Infinity as you can tell. I chose these because they are heavy and solid.. The tap test is really good on the walls. . As far as the finish- I coated them in that fake granite textured finish, and then clear coated them.. It looks pretty cool, and actually feels like granite. The inputs are independent- one for the woofer and one for the tweeter. I simply use a jumper wire and a single cap to protect the tweeter and use minimal XO components in the signal path The tweeters are those Foster 1.5" dome mid/tweeters and sound spectacular... Treated cloth domes that are doped properly sound great. Those are 8 ohms The woofers are fairly decent. They have a woven kevlar cone, which is straight/conical in profile, and have a butylene rubber half roll high compliance/high excursion design.. These are bi-ampable, or you can simply run them with a single full range channel, and use the included jumper wires and poly film cap for simplified use.. GREAT for close distance monitoring/ book shelf applications/ surround sound/ gaming, and plain old listening to music... Do these sound like $5,000 dollar book shelf speakers?- NO, BUT- for what they are and all I am asking, it's a pretty decent little pair for the money.. Everything works properly, and will be in as shown or better condition...
