Description

These turntables are extremely dependable and easy to maintain. Reviews online put the motor at higher quality then some very high end turntables (Rega or even Linn Sondek LP12). Mike at Liquid Audio says this: "The PL-514 has excellent speed accuracy, a lovely tonearm, a super-solid chassis, motor, and lid and is just generally such a loveable machine that I would honestly have one as a spare deck if I had the space. They really don’t make turntables like this anymore, certainly not that the average buyer can afford." Cleaned, lubed and serviced, balanced and aligned, this turntable is plug and play ready! New belt installed, tracks perfectly from start to finish and the motor spins dead on accurate at 45 or 33 1/3 RPM. These slab models have a solid wood plinth to assure little to no resonance. Auto return works as it should. Empire OP-120 cartridge with original .2x.7 elliptical stylus included, tests good and tracks perfectly. Complete with dustcover free from cracks and polished to a beautiful shine. This turntable finish is near-new, came from a smoke free environment. Description (from VinylEngine): The Pioneer PL-514 is a high-performance belt-driven turntable which employs an auto-return mechanism.
