Vintage Dual 1219 Turntable with United Audio Wood Plinth For sale is an original vintage Dual 1219 automatic turntable, manufactured in West Germany and presented in its period United Audio wooden plinth with dust cover. The Dual 1219 is one of Dual’s classic idler-drive turntables from the early 1970s and is well regarded by vintage audio enthusiasts for its heavy platter, fully automatic operation, adjustable tonearm, and robust mechanical construction. This example is in good vintage condition and retains its beautiful wood base, original-style dust cover, Dual 1219 chassis and tonearm. Operational condition: The turntable powers on and the mechanical functions are working, including platter rotation and automatic operation. IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: The cartridge/head assembly currently has a wiring/contact issue affecting proper stereo output. The head/cartridge connection will need repair or replacement to restore correct stereo playback. I am selling the turntable with this issue fully disclosed. Please consider this when purchasing. Cosmetically, it shows normal signs of age and use consistent with a turntable that is over 50 years old. Please review the photographs carefully for its exact cosmetic condition. A beautiful piece of vintage German hi-fi equipment and an excellent candidate for someone who collects Dual equipment or would like to service and enjoy a classic 1219.
