HQaudios Restoration & Testing Process Before Restoration Both speakers were visually inspected for cabinet, grille, logo, terminal, and driver condition. Each woofer and high-frequency driver was inspected individually. DC resistance was measured across the driver sections and documented on the inspection sheet. Both crossover networks were checked for signal distribution and continuity. Speaker terminals, internal wiring, and driver connections were inspected. Cabinet surfaces were examined for finish deterioration, age-related wear, and structural concerns. Both speakers were tested with an audio signal to identify imbalance, distortion, unwanted noise, or inactive drivers. The original logos were found to require replacement. During Restoration All woofers and high-frequency drivers were tested individually for stable operation. Driver connections and internal wiring were cleaned and secured. Both crossover networks were inspected for proper operation. Signal distribution from each crossover to the woofers and horn driver was verified. Speaker terminals and contact areas were cleaned. Internal cabinet areas were cleaned to remove accumulated dust and debris. Cabinet structures and driver-mounting points were inspected. Exterior cabinet surfaces were cleaned and restored. The wooden cabinets were refinished while maintaining their original color character. Minor age-related surface imperfections were treated where appropriate.
