Description

The RCF EVOX J8 W Stereo Pair Bundle: A Full Left-Right Column Array PA for 200-to-500-Capacity Venues This is the bundle for the working professional who has outgrown a single-cabinet PA and needs true stereo coverage in a venue that holds anywhere from a 200-person wedding reception to a 500-person dance floor. The single EVOX J8 W is a complete portable PA on its own — at 1400 watts of Class-D amplification, a 12-inch woofer, and 128 dB max SPL, it covers small rooms in mono. But mono coverage stops being enough the moment the room widens or deepens past the point where one cabinet's 120-degree horizontal pattern can hit every seat with even level and intelligibility. The stereo pair solves that. Two cabinets, one per side, deliver true L+R imaging across a wide audience field, double the SPL ceiling for dance-floor and large-vocal sets, and the visual symmetry venues expect from a real production rig. 2x 1400W Class-D Amplification, 128 dB Per Side, 40 Hz to 20 kHz Each EVOX J8 W in the pair carries an onboard 1400-watt Class-D amplifier (700 watts RMS) driving a 12-inch high-excursion woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil in a bass-reflex subwoofer base and eight 2-inch full-range RCF drivers in the satellite column. Per side: 128 dB max SPL and 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. Across the pair: enough sustained headroom for live bands at full volume, DJ sets on a packed dance floor, and acoustic performances in rooms where the back wall is 60 to 100 feet from the stage. The switch-mode power supply delivers ultra-fast attack and transient realism in both cabinets simultaneously — kick drums hit with the same speed on the left and right. True Stereo Imaging from Two FiRPHASE Line Source Columns The line source satellite on each EVOX J8 W places eight 2-inch full-range drivers in a vertical column array configuration. With the cabinets placed L+R across the stage, the audience hears genuine stereo separation — instruments panned in the mix actually arrive from the panned position, vocals lock to the center between the two columns, and audience-field width opens to match the room. RCF's FiRPHASE FIR filtering produces 0-degree phase response in each cabinet, so the woofer and the satellite column arrive at the listener time-aligned, and the L and R columns time-align with each other across the stereo field. The 120-degree horizontal by 30-degree vertical coverage pattern on each side means the combined pair fills a ballroom or sanctuary corner-to-corner without lobing. XLR speakON Link Outputs Daisy-Chain L and R From One Mixer Output Each EVOX J8 W rear panel carries an XLR and 1/4-inch input pair and matching XLR and speakON link outputs. Run a stereo mixer's left output into the left EVOX input, the right output into the right EVOX input, set the input switches to Line, and the system runs. For installs and worship setups where the mixer outputs are mono with a distribution feed, daisy-chain the second cabinet from the first cabinet's XLR link output. The Mic/Line switch lets a presenter or solo vocalist plug a dynamic microphone straight into either cabinet for keynote and announcement use without a mixer. Boost/Flat EQ presets fit voice-only versus full-range program material with one switch. 2x RCF CVR EVOX J Padded Covers Keep Both Cabinets Show-Ready Each system in the pair ships with the RCF CVR EVOX J — RCF's own manufacturer-cut padded cover for the EVOX J subwoofer base. 600D polyester exterior keeps dust, dirt, and venue grime off both white polypropylene composite cabinets between gigs. 10 mm foam rubber padding cushions each cabinet against impact, abrasion, and the dozens of small scratches a year of trunking, stacking, and rolling on cart wheels produces. 190T taffeta interior lining keeps the soft inside surface from scratching the white finish — and the white finish is the reason mobile production buyers chose this color in the first place. Heavy-duty zipper closure on each. Hook-and-loop access cutouts open over the molded top carry handle and the rear amplifier connector panel on each subwoofer, so power, XLR, and speakON connections route in and out without removing the cover. Two-Trip Load-In, Five-Minute Stereo Deployment The whole stereo pair weighs 105 pounds split across two cabinets — one trip per cabinet from the vehicle to the stage, plus one trip for the covers, cables, and accessory case. The adjustable metal pole stores inside each subwoofer cabinet during transit, so the satellite column ships separately and the system unpacks tall and skinny instead of wide. On site, each cabinet deploys identically: pole into the subwoofer top mount, satellite column on, NL2 speakON cable from column to subwoofer base, power. The pair goes from cases to mix-ready stereo PA in five minutes with one person — three if the room expects a load-in show. For Mobile DJs Running Bigger Rooms, Worship Audio Teams, and Production Companies The first-time stereo buyer is the mobile DJ or wedding-band leader who has been running a single EVOX (or a smaller pair) and is taking bookings in 300-to-500-cap rooms where mono is no longer covering the audience. The upgrader is the production company or rental house buying matched pairs to expand inventory — two systems that travel and stack identically, white-finish for venue-aesthetic books, and the same manufacturer-cut padded cover on both. The comparison shopper is the worship audio director evaluating column-array pairs against larger black two-way line array PAs — for venues that prioritize visual integration with the architecture, the white finish on a portable, fast-deploying, fast-protected pair is the decision. Two cabinets, two covers, real stereo coverage. Order yours today.
