Description

This is a Pioneer SX-3900 Receiver in Very Good condition, recently back from a massive overhaul. Our tech performed the following: General cleaning on the exterior and interior Cleaned controls and switches Replaced Phoenix connectors and pins on output rails and transistors Replaced F5 Low-Pass filter in the Tuner section Reassembled, set idle current checked tuner alignment Replaced a switch knob The Pioneer SX-3900 is a vintage monster receiver introduced in 1980, famous for its powerful 120-watt per channel output and iconic blue Fluoroscan digital display. As a transitional hybrid model, it features both a traditional analog tuning dial and a quartz-locked digital readout. Power Output: 120 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency Response: Extremely wide range from 7Hz to 80kHz Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): Exceptionally low at 0.005% Damping Factor: 60 Dimensions & Weight: Measures approximately 20.7 x 6.9 x 17.8 inches and weighs roughly 45 lbs. Service History: No service records were included from the prior owner. Here at the shop we did routine testing, cleaning and inspection and had our tech give it a thorough cleaning and overhaul (see above bullets) Cosmetic Condition: Overall we rated this at Very Good.
