Description
Custom-built Three-way Studio Main Monitors with 2000 watts 15" woofer. These monitor speakers were designed for exclusive use at Thompson Studios in NYC. The goal was to replicate the power and punch of the main monitors setup in their Large Studio B, while still translating well in smaller rooms not only for high spl but also to be used for mixing purposes. These monitor speakers are passive, they require amplification and a DSP crossover for proper tuning in the room where they are going to reside. They are not ported, so they can be used with subwoofers for ideal low-end reproduction. These monitors are powerful and yet, clean, and will beat most high-end self-powered monitors available in the market today. The price is for the speakers only as shown. These were used with 1 bryston 4BST for the lows, 1 Bryston 3B for the mids and 1 Bryston 2B for the highs, along with a Xilica DSP. This combination was the best that we could come up with to obtain the best results, but buyers are free to experiment with different amps and crossovers if desired.
