Description: Up for sale is a classic vintage Nakamichi OMS-1A Compact Disc Player, meticulously crafted in Japan (circa 1987). Renowned across the audiophile community for its exceptional mechanical build quality and signature warm, detailed analog sound, this high-fidelity unit features a premium 16-bit D/A converter with oversampling for a true, classic hi-fi listening experience. It serves as a fantastic standalone player or vintage digital transport for any stereo setup. This listing includes the Nakamichi unit and standard connecting cables; a digital copy of the owner's manual (PDF format) is available upon request. (Please note: The original remote control and OEM factory box are not included). Operational & Cosmetic Condition Mechanical & Display Testing: Fully bench-tested to verify basic mechanical operations. The unit powers on flawlessly, the display is crisp and bright, and the tray cycles through a compact disc very smoothly. All front panel controls appear to function normally. Cosmetics: Highly presentable cosmetic condition relative to its age, displaying only typical, expected surface wear and light shelf marks consistent with a well-cared-for vintage component. Please Note: While the machine mechanical-tests perfectly and registers tracking metrics on the front screen, it was not connected to an amplifier or speakers during testing.
