A 4 inch, linear excursion, low-mass tweeter radiates upper frequencies with startling transparency while a full 12 inch surround woofer produces deep, powerful bass. The crossover of the Tempest is a true LC network and so carefully matched to the drivers that there are none of the holes, peaks, phase discrepancy or overlap dispersion problems which generally plague the response of two way designs. Whether called upon to re-create the thunder of rock or the purity of a classic guitar, the ESS Tempest is without peer in dual driver loudspeaker systems.
